If the fee is not paid, the\u00a0<strong><u>application will be rejected<\/u><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the high volume of pending trademark applications at the Opposition Resolution Department, which processes oppositions whose applicants have not answered the notice of existing oppositions &#8211;suggesting their lack of interest in the settlement of the dispute&#8211;,\u00a0<strong>the new Resolution also provides a Temporary Clause<\/strong>\u00a0allowing the TRADEMARK OFFICE to order the applicants who have not answered the notice of existing oppositions to pay the new corresponding fee within FIFTEEN (15) business days.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- \/divi:paragraph -->[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On August 1st, 2024, Resolution 295\/2024 became effective which sets forth a new official fee for the trademark applicant within the Opposition Resolution Procedure.
